Mommy Time

Oh my!  I can't believe that it has been almost 3 months since I have been on here!  That means we have bee having way too much fun around this house!  I have barely gotten on my computer at all!  I do everything from my IPhone now while I'm nursing the little one.  I have been staying way too busy taking care of the kiddos, the hubby, the house and sewing in between these things.  My mom and I have been working on Christmas gifts and I have had quite a few orders lately (thank you to all of my repeat customers and the new ones, I love you all!)
I have also been enjoying time with my awesome friends that live close by!  I have Mrs. H thats getting ready to leave for the winter and 2 others (Mrs. G and Mrs. S) that have 5 week old babies that are 5 days apart!  So we have been taking hard core advantage of their maternity leave, woohoo!  We started a coffee-play date last week, and then had one yesterday so we could hang with Mrs. H before she left for the winter!  She goes to Montana and sends BEAUTIFUL pictures (and I wish I could go because I LOVE the winter and snow!!)  The 3 older kids play, while the mommies drink coffee, try new recipes and take care of the 3 babies (my oldest is at school so its nice to get M#2 out to play with others).  Our first coffee date turned into coffee day (literally!) we were at Mrs. S's from 10 am until 3:30 and thats because I had to pick up M#1 up from the bus!  And yesterday we had a little sewing lesson in the middle of it too!  It is so awesome to have these friends and it makes me very thankful to have them near and dear to my heart.  Now I'm looking forward to helping Mrs. S with some sewing and getting some more of my stuff done this week.

Well now I've got to get back to tackling my kitchen while the baby is down for a nap...so later peeps!

My Current Favs

As a new mom once again, I definitely have my daily go-to favs!  So today I thought I might share them with you!  Some things are handmade and some came from the store!

My Milkies
I have blogged about these before, and that was before I had used them.  And now that I have used them I do not know how I managed without the with the other girls.  I already have about 60 oz of breastmilk in the freezer and I have only pumped 3 times!  This is what my working mommas will be getting from me, because I remember how hard it was to get a supply in the freezer when I went back to school or work with my other 2 girls.

aden + anais
Swaddling Blanket
 princess posie swaddle
Burpy Bibs
princess posie burpy bib
I am in LOVE with these (Thanks G Fam!!)  These blankets have been perfect for this summer heat and I find myself making sure that I have one of these burp clothes clean at all times! (I am hoping get my own version figured out sometime soon.)

My Coupon Binder
I don't go shopping without it!! (now the pics wont upload! UGH!)

My Sewing Machine
It is my friend, my slave, my co-worker and many others...maybe it needs a name??  But first is it a he or a she....hummm??

My nursing covers
I have used these at the house, pickup or at a friends house...but I am still not comfortable enough to use in the middle of a restaurant or other places like some people.  Maybe one of these days, but we will see!

These are just a few of the things that I have been getting full use of in the past few weeks..we will see what else I can find to try or find new uses for in the future.

Couponing...my way...

Okay so the Extreme Couponing marathon was on yesterday...did any of you watch it or have you ever watched it??  Well I have watched the ENTIRE season!  And let me tell you it sure would be nice if I lived in another town or area.  Because where I live it is impossible to get the deals that these people get on the food portion of their grocery bills.  We do not have multiple grocery stores in the area...there are 2, Lowe's and United.  So there is no doubling plus we dont get very many food coupons in the inserts in our area.  Most of the food coupons that I get, I print of the internet.  These factors can make getting your entire grocery bill for $5 is next to impossible around here! BUT you can save on the more expensive things like beauty & health products at Target, CVS & Walgreens!
So the hubby and I have our own goal & plan with these couponing thing...we plan to save & stock up on laundry detergent, paper towels, shampoo, deaodrant & razors (just to name a few).  These are the things that make our grocery bill shoot through the roof.
Here are some of the things I stocked up on last week at Target:
Dove Ultimate & Men's Dove deodrant  reg 3.99 on sale 3.49, bought 2 of ea, stacked two /$1 off 1 Dove's Men deodrant Target coupon and buy 1 dove ultimate get 1 dove men's free (wished I would have had 2 of these but I didn't) AND received a $5 gift card.  Paid 8.47-$5 gift card=$3.47 or .87 each (78% savings);
Here is one at CVS:
Pampers diapers (reg 11.99) on sale for 8.99 w/$3 ECB, I used a CVS coupon that I had from something for $3 off Pampers plus $2 manufacturer's coupon...total paid $.99
Pampers Wipes 2.49-$2 when you buy Pampers diapers & wipes...total paid $.49

I have a couple of great blogs that I reference and they will also teach you to coupon the correct way along with showing you match-ups, deals & coupns.
krazycouponlady.com  &  fabulesslyfrugal.com

If you have any questions, I will be more than happy to help you all that I can!

Later Peeps & happy cpning!

Back into the groove...hopefully

It has been a very blessed last couple of weeks!!  I have gotten several orders in the last couple of weeks, which I am very thankful for!  In the last couple of months I have not been pushing the Boutique as I should be. But now that I am getting back into the groove of things I'm getting used to spending some daily-quality time with my machine!  I've also got to get back to couponing too!!

In the last 2 days I have made 12 Cool 'em Totes and worked on a couple of hooded towels.  I have the To-Do List started and I have started marking things off!!  Now lets hope that the list keeps growing!!

Meanwhile, I am mainly getting use to to being a SAHM, but this time its to a 4 1/2 year old, a 3 yr old and a newborn!  The last time I stayed at home (no school or work at all) was when Munchkin #1 was about 8 months until Munchkin #2 was 3 months old!  It is definitely quite different than I remember but so far so good!

Well until later Peeps!

Getting Ready for Tinslee

Wow I cannot believe that this is the first time that I have been on a computer this week!  This past week went by soo fast and we have had so much going on just between normal activities and getting ready for Tinslee to get here next Tuesday.  With the last 7 days before we go into the hospital, I have been sewing, cleaning, and organizing or can you just say NESTING!!!  But around here it is a never ending ordeal when there are 2 other little girls and a Hubby to look after and take care of!  But we are just about ready for our new bundle of joy to get here!!

On Wed. afternoon the girls & I headed up to Canyon to my grandma's to do some sewing and go eat at my favorite place (Feldman's).  She made a new cover for our infant car seat & it turned out super cute!  Then she showed me her new toy that she got last week (sewing/embroidry machine) and I am so jealous...I tried taking it for the weekend. On Thursday morning we played with the new toy and figured out some things on it while we making a blanket.  Then we headed home at nap time and I have been cleaning and sewing ever since.  Yesterday I got a padded handle cover made for the carrier, a couple of burp clothes, started a strip quilt, and started another hooded towel!  It has been an extremely BUSY week...so here are the pics that I have so far...ENJOY!
Boppy Pillow cover & burp cloth...I have a matching nursing cover too.

monogrammed burp cloth

Padded handle cover on the car seat

Padded handle cover before I put it on the car seat

Car seat cover

Canopy for the car seat...love the roses & ruffle!!

The blanket my grandma made Thurs while we played w/the new toy!
Maybe I will be COMPLETELY ready by the end of this weekend...so wish me luck!

Later Peeps, oh and it just might be another week or 2 before ya hear from me again!!

Maybe, Hopefully I'm Back...

Oh my have I been away for awhile!  I am so sorry!!!  Its been crazy around here (but when isn't it??)  Unfortunately Munchkin #1 was sick the week before last for 6 days!  Then 3 days later M#2 came down with the same viral infection...thankfully she only had it for 3 days instead of 6.  Then I came down with it on Tuesday while I was home with M#2, and let me tell you I haven't ever been sick like that before in my life!!  That fever kicked my butt!  I had already felt bad for my girls and then after I had it, I wanted to cry for what my little girls went through.   Talk about a rough couple of weeks around our house of love!

Now hopefully we are on the road to recovery~ :)  Now we just need to survive this 108 degree weather, wind and drought!    AND summer is about halfway over!!  Soooo here are some pics of some stuff that I have gotten made lately!

Check back to see what is going on around our crazy house of love!

~Gift Idea for a College Kid~

I know some people have been looking for different gift ideas for those recent graduates who are about to head off to college!  And I have definitely been one of those!  You see my baby cousin (well I guess he isn't actually my youngest cousin, but I do remember when he was born so he is still my baby!) just graduated from high school (hold on gotta find a tissue) and I have been postponing making his gift because then that would make the reality of him living for college even more REAL!

Of course I am going to make him something that is personalized, but I am also going to work on a supply box for him.  Because I mean we are talking about a MALE here, don't get me wrong my Dev is mature, responsible and super smart, but men or boys are not use to having to go to the store and buy deodrant or shampoo!

Now back to the matter at hand, I have all of these coupons for products that my hubby, dad or brothers do not use.  So I am going to use them to find CHEAP deals and fill Dev's box with "goodies".  I'm thinking body wash, deodrant, shampoo, maybe some detergent or cleaning supplies, and maybe trash bags.  These are necessities that he will use even in the dorm!  And of course most college kids are not too picky.

For example:  this week at Target Nivea Men's body wash is on sale for $3.04.  I have a buy 2 get one free coupon, a Target coupon for $1.00 off Nivea body wash and several manufacture coupons for $2.00 off Nivea Men's body wash.  In my first transaction I will get 3 bottles for $1.08 and in my second transaction one bottle for $0.04.  So that will be $1.12 for 4 bottles of body wash!!  Not too shabby if you ask me!  Who knows I may even use some of those Buy One Get One Free toothbrush coupons and whatever else I run across!

Just a few items I'm lookin to put in the supply box:
body wash                       shampoo                    razor
deodrant                          detergent                    razor refills
cleaning supplies               trash bags                  toilet paper
toothbrushes                     first aid kit                 paper towels
Febreze                            pain reliever              batteries

Happy gift giving Peeps!!

First "Extreme" Couponing Experience

So yesterday I had my first "stacking" experience at Target.  I compared the sale prices, printed coupons off of the Target website and coupons.com.  I also had a few others in my stash that I was going to be able to use.  I sat down with my general list that I created last week and figured out what we actually need and what I could "stock up on".  By the time I got my list together and marked what I had coupons for, which ones were on sale and what qualified for the $5 gift cards, I ended up with half of my list having coupons!

My goal is to eventually not have to buy anything unless it is on sale AND I have a coupon (or 2).  While I was shopping there were other items on my list that I didn't have coupons for but they ended up being on sale.  That was even better!!  I ended up saving $28 in coupons and a total of $49.15 (sales+coupons)!  Oh and I left with $15 in gift cards for a grand total of $64.15 in savings!!!  Woohoo, not too shabby for my first time.  There were even several items where I "stacked" as sale price with a Target coupon AND a manufacturer's coupon.  I'm definitely thinking I can get the hang of this!

While I was shopping, I met a fellow couponer who had also started this week.  She was doing a whole lot better than me that's for sure!  Her and her husband are "couponing to Disney."  They are putting the money that they save to a trip to Disney!  Now that is a pretty neat idea.  And prior to her trip to Target, she had saved $200 this week and had already bought a month's worth of groceries!  She gave me even more inspiration to stick this thing out and give it quite a bit more effort!

I will do my best to continue to keep you in the loop of my couponing, and let you know about deals that I see out and about!!!

So happy couponing peeps!

Latest Mission...

Okay so I have been on this mission to cut down our grocery bill, stock the pantry & frig and quit eating out so much (okay so that is really 3 missions!)  But who isn't making small attempts at these things in this economy with high fuel and utilities soaring through the roof???
I have got to get back to doing my shopping every 2 or 3 weeks (except for milk & bread of course!) and buy more in bulk if I can.  I have also been trying to rebuild my coupon stash that has slowly dewindled down to pretty much nothing.

So yesterday I sat down and made up a semi detailed grocery list of the things that I buy regularly and then I got on samsclub.com and wrote down the prices for everything.  I then went on to figure the cost per pound, ounce, cup, etc.  I think this will help me in doing more comparison shopping.  Now I just need to get prices from say Wally World and United.  I am really going to start working on the comparison shopping and price-matching; considering that this is something that I haven't ever really done.  Except on large ticket items that is! So why not do it on stuff that we use every week or 2 weeks?  Makes total sense to me!

I am hoping to share my experiences with you and if you have any thoughts or suggestion just send them on over my way!  They will be greatly appreciated!

p.s.  I will share my list with any that are interested in it...just let me know!!

Just Some New Things Out There for Baby & Mommy...

I cannot believe all of the new and cool gadgets & gear that have come out since I had my youngest 3 years ago! It's amazing to look back and see what's all on the baby market and think "man things would've been easier if I had that!" or "if only that was out when..."  Some of these items I know some of my fellow moms have tried or used; and some of them none of us have used!!  So here's my list of some of the new stuff I have seen!!

Baeba Babycook  (and they are coming out with a Bib'expesso!)

Nursing Covers (you can buy these but I have been making these myself to give as gifts!!)
The Bebe au Lait Hooter Hiders were some of the first ones that I had ever seen!

Swaddling Blankets (again these can be handmade!!)
They are larger than normal receiving blankets and Swaddle Designs is the first one that I had seen or bought as a gift!

My Milkies Milk Saver I saw these in a magazine and couldn't believe that someone actually created them!!  (I really wished that I had these back then...I know I'm weird, but if you have nursed then you completely understand!)

And here are a couple of other things that you can get custom made!
Infant Car Seat Cover--completely change the look of your older car seat!
Car Seat Tent--block the sun or wind off of baby and be very fashionable about it!!
Custom Boppy Pillow Cover (I have been making these to match the nursing covers that I give-AWESOME gift set!!)

These are just a few of the things that I have seen lately!  If there is anything cool or useful that you have used or seen let me know!!

Wildfire Assistance...(I know kinda random)

Yes I know that many people in the US have been and will continue to be affected by the wildfires, floods and tornados.  But with the flooding and storms still continuing in the East, sometimes I feel the wildfires that have severely burnt our beloved state have been forgotten.  Did you know that it took 25 days to contain the Davis/Rockhouse fire 100%??  This fire burned over 314000 acres.  As of the last update this morning on the Texas Forest Service website, the current total is over 2.273 million acres and approximately 1100 structures burned.

If anybody is wondering how you could be of direct assistance to those affected, you could go on over to the Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association for more information.  Funds and hay or feed supplies are needed for many whose livestock were greatly affected.  Many counties have supply points set up.  And for those individuals that need assistance, you can contact the Hay Hotline and the FSA.  Many will need help with building fences, furnishing feed for the summer months, and building new homes and structures, and unfortunately most will not get any FEMA assistance.

So please lets take care of those of our own before we continue to worry about those in other countries.  Let's make sure our donations stay right here in the Beautiful Texas!  Please join me in raising awareness and funds to help those in our state!  As I continue to come across more places one can donate or give assistance to I will let you know!!
Right now the Texas Department of Agriculture has a fund set up... STAR Fund and you can even use PayPal !

Also if any of you know of any other or local funds set up, please let me know!

I've Been Such a Slacker...

I am so sorry its been like 2 weeks since I have posted!!  It has been super crazy around our house lately!  We have started T-Ball with the Munchkin #1, so there has been practices and our first 2 games last week.  So far it has been fun and interesting watching all of those little girls play!  My husband has also been working nonstop finishing up the new front porch and walkways!  We even planted flowers and put mulch down last weekend!  He worked really hard to have it all done for the munchkins' Birthday Bash and Easter Egg Hunt this past Saturday.  Thankfully my awesome boss let us off on Friday, so we got to get a bunch of stuff finished up and ready for the big party.  We had a really good turn out and just enjoyed getting to spend the afternoon with some awesome family and friends (that's the best thing about having a "party"!!!)

So as you can imagine I haven't seen much of my beloved sewing machine lately and I think I am starting to have symptoms of withdrawal...I could've probably sewed some last night but I guess I am still recuperating from this past weekends activities.  I feel like we had 3 solid days of nothing but going and going!  So now its time to crack my own whip at myself and get back to working on my To-Do List...although I am excited to get a couple of new projects completed.  I, as well as a couple of others that I know, are very curious to see how they turn out!  (I will let you in on them later if they turn out okay and if they don't I still might tell you about them!)

Here is a pic of my new remodeled front yard!!
This is the front walkway--sorry its sideways!

And the new porch, front walkway, & beginnings of the side walkway!

Long, Lost Pictures

Okay so I finally remembered my camera today!  And I am so sorry I do not take very good pictures! But these are just a few of the pics that I have because I still need to steal my mom's camera (there are more on her fancier camera & probably better pics too).

Lime green hooded towel with ZEBRA!  I'm always excited to do ANYTHING with Zebra!

Nursing Cover---sorry its side ways...  :(

1st Eye Pillow
My Eye Pillow with its satiny case...

And my 1st Boppy Pillow Cover that I told you about last week...it didn't turn out too bad

And the matching Nursing Cover
And that is some of the things that I have worked on in the last couple of months!  I promise to try to do better about posting pictures as I go and not submit you to several months worth at one time!!!  UGH once again I am so sorry!!  But I will tell you I have a couple of new styles of Hooded Towels coming your way, needless to say this weekend was very successful in shopping with Mrs. G!!!

New To-Do List

Ok thanks to the Hubby (and yes I am putting a majority of the blame on him) I barely got started on my To-Do List from last weekend.  Instead we ended up tearing out the front walkway and entire front porch--it was Monday before my ears quit ringing from 2 days of listening to a jackhammer outside my front door.  However I did make my 1st boppy pillow cover with help from Vanilla Joy and I also made a matching nursing cover for a really great friend's sister-in-law.  I used this pattern that Vanilla Joy supplies on her site and altered it some by not using a zipper and made it close like a pillow sham.  I also got the last batch of my custom orders packed up and shipped out.  It might not have been very productive in the garage/sewing room, but it was an overall productive weekend around our little house!

But now I have another To-Do List (I'm still going to work on the other one too!!)
  • master a pattern for the Rachel Ray moppine towels (my mom has been waiting for like 2 months for these, I probably need to make them a priority!)
  • create a pattern/design for a boot bag
  • make up some more bandana/pillowcase dresses
  • make more Cool 'em Totes
  • AND of course keep making more Feed Sack Totes!
And these are just a few of the things I would like to work on! Now these are just a few of the projects that I work on in between orders, so I should stay plenty busy!

Until later Peeps...

For All of Us Cowgirls Who Love Our Boots...

Okay apparently it is time for me to start a new project!  And guess what Peeps its for you ladies that never fail to leave to house for the weekend or trip without at least 1 pair of boots in tow!!  Cus I know I usually have at least 2 pair tucked under my arm as we are heading out the door!

I'm going to attempt to figure out a pattern and make a "STYLISH" boot bag because this was an awesome suggestion by one of the besties, Mrs. G.  We know how most of us women, ladies, and girlies love Vera Bradley luggage/bags and others like it; but do any of them make bags for our precious cowboy boots?  Well if they do I definitely haven't found any during my hours of Googling.  Most of the ones that I found were a solid colored canvas, vinyl or expensive leather.

So my plan is to get some quilted fabric (I found a couple of cute prints at the local Hancocks!), and see if my Hubby still has a vinyl or canvas boot bag (he had one at some point in time--that is if I didn't garage sale it!) to use as a pattern.  Apparently I am going to have to come up with my own pattern so this should be VERY interesting...

Somebody please say a prayer for me and thanks Mrs. G for giving me a new challenge!

If any of you fellow Peeps have any suggestions on fabric or other material give me a shout!!  I would love to hear from ya!!

*Weekend Project*

So this weekend I AM determined to work on our garage turned office/sewing/craft center!  I have slowly worked started on this project a couple of different times this winter on an occassional evening or 2.  Then I have to leave it to work on something else and 2 weeks later it looks worse than it did before I worked on it last time.  How the heck does this happen?  I know you are probably thinking "excuses, excuses."  So here is the  To-Do List:  (I figured if I wrote it down/blogged it then I might, just might, get half way through the list)

  1. sort through books
  2. sort through office paperwork
  3. sort fabric scraps
  4. organize current orders/projects
  5. straighten shelves & sewing supplies
  6. dust/vacuum walls
  7. sweep
  8. rearrange tubs/boxes
  9. move unnecessary stuff to cellar
  10. set up old kitchen table for sewing
Okay I think this is a decent list to get started with, considering some of the these I might have to recruit the Hubbs to assist me!!  Hehe and he doesn't even know it yet!!  Shh don't tell him, I like to catch him off guard with the honey-dos!
With all of my comings and going lately my sewing area looks like a tornado has hit it.  And I really need to get it tackled before I start any new projects!  So if I dont show back up in the next few days, please send someone to find me in our garage somewhere!!  Because this is where I will be either cleaning or finishing a couple of orders!

Takin' it Easy...

So we had a GRAND time at the ranch rodeo this weekend!! I had a booth set up too while I was there and it went good. It was good to spend a couple of days with family and good friends. (I will get some pics of the RR up whenever I steal my mom's camera) This week has been a lazy week compared to the last few weeks (can't you tell by my "frequent" posts?) I have been finishing and shipping out orders. But hopefully this weekend (cus my house gets cleaned tomorrow!!!) I will get back on the ball because I have a TO-DO list that is growing by the yard! And the thing is, is its not only sewing stuff on my list...UGHH!! Here is a sneak peek at my latest project-- Feed Sack Totes!!! My mom and I are having a blast with these! We have friends and family accumulating all kinds and colors of bags for us!

Crazy Crafty Weekend!!

Well this weekend ended up being a very productive weekend!!! Thank goodness because I was needing to get a lot of different stuff done! Last Thursday I picked up a pile of orders that were at a buddy's getting monogrammed. So I have that stack of orders to work through, new orders coming in, and getting stuff ready for this weekend. I am going to have a booth at a ranch rodeo and I am super excited about it. So forewarned you may not hear from me very much this week!! I am going to be working on all of my stuff and spend plenty of time with my new co-worker/employee...
Meet Mr. Janome, my new sewing maching!!! So far I am loving his work and he is soo much more quiet than my other machine!
All thanks go to my cousin who took Munchkin #1, my MIL who took #2, my hubby who stayed out of the house as much as possible and my mom for coming up to help me cut and sew on Saturday!! We got alot done! We stayed up until 12:30 Fri night and were back up and sewing by 8:30 Sat morning and we finally quit about 5 to head to the LBK. The day just flew by for us. Then since Sunday was so beautiful the munchkins played outside & I got a few more things sewn together!
All in all I'd have to say it was a productive and successful weekend!
Later Peeps!
Oh & if you don't hear from me I will just be under the pile of material that is waiting to be sewn into beautiful items at my house!

Wild & Crazy Wed. Night

So last night after getting a few things accomplished around the house, fed the starving munchkins, put up laundry, and got the munchkins to bed, I finally sat down and threw and eye pillow together! I didn't even use any of the patterns I had so carefully printed off yesterday (since it was like 10:30 and all of that stuff was still in the car--what can I say I didn't feel like walking out to the car). I wasn't even going to sew the pillow last night until I stumbled across a length of material that was right at 8" wide (then I held it across my face & determined that it was long enough, even though the patterns called for 10 inches). So I checked the pantry and I had a bag of regular rice tucked away in a far corner. By this time my dog Hannah is following me around giving me this look like "um Mom its like 10:30 and waayyy past our bedtime!" But I just kept trucking along, I was on a mission & I had a vision!! So I cut a 8X8 square and folded it into a 4X8 rectangle (right sides together) and sewed the 2 short side together with and opening on the long side, flipped it inside out, and filled it with about a cup of rice. (I think flaxseed will work better but where am I going to get that at 10:30 at night & in the middle of nowhere TX?) I topstitched the opening and threw it in the microwave for about 30 seconds. & I was ready for bed!! So then Hannah and I went to bed and slept like angels with our warm eye pillow or at least I did. Maybe I will get a slipcover or case made for it in a couple of days because I am preping for major sewing weekend!!

Welcome to My World with Google!

So I have spent some time this week with my ole pal Google. I have been researching various topics like handmade eye pillows, heating pads/pillows, patterns, and fillers. I ahve also been researching a couple of sewing machines. I love finding new patterns or ideas to try and tinker with. I think I have finally found a couple of patterns that I can alter, combine and tinker with until I get the results that I am looking for. I am super excited about getting home and getting my 1st eye pillow made just so I can test it out myself (I love testing out my stuff!)

I started thinking about this project and wondering if there were any patterns for an eye pillow thingymagig because I have been using my heating pillow to cover my eyes when I have a migraine. If I couldn't find one, then I was going to find the measurements for an eye mask or make a super-small version of my heating pillow. After another migraine wrecked havoc on my weekend this past Sunday, I jump started my research!! Sometimes I feel like I am still in school with all of this researching and studying that I do on patterns, projects and items---but I absolutely love it!! That's all that matters right? I will do my best to get some pics up of my end results!!

Later Peeps...

Oh and dont forget to send me suggestions for things you might want patterns for or even where to find specific ideas! Or you can suggests other Peeps that might want to be showcased!

New for 2011 and for T~n~T Blog...

With gas prices and costs of other goods going up (did you know milk has already gone up 20 cents!!), my frugalness is starting to kick into high gear, and I mean HIGH gear. Like leaving for work 5 minutes early to drive 65 (we will see if I actually do this), bring my lunch (I did do this today), and googling, lots of googling, and finding new things to make to give as gifts or make a regular item in the Boutique. Many of these things I start out making for my girls or I. Or my mom sees soemthing somewhere and instead of buying it she takes pictures so I can make it. This is how some...okay most, like 99%...of my projests get started!! Oh how I love my mother for constantly keeping me busy on my sewing machine! Or is this some con so she can spend the weekend babysitting the girls while I sew???

Sorry for the blabbing and blah dee blah stuff...now back to the business at hand...

Okay now onto my new plans for this blog...I have previously given some instructions to a couple of simple projects along with some ideas for gifts. Now I am going to put in a larger effort in to helping out my peeps (those shopping and those crafting!) by suggesting ideas and maybe even some names that could make custom items for you. One of the greatest thing is networking and trading services with others that you may know! I take full advantage of it every chance that I get! I'm also going to use this as a chance to showcase a few moms or peeps of mine that have been making stuff on the side to earn a few bucks in this economy or just because they enjoy it!

Also peeps, please if you or anyone you might know want to be showcased please email me at tntbabyboutique@yahoo.com. Also comment or email me if there is anything specific that you might want info or instructions on!! I am looking forward to hearing from you peeps!

Later...
